Jeremiah Pinchbeck's Lantern Tours

Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall in Stratford-upon-Avon is about to light up the dark evenings with the lantern of Jeremiah Pinchbeck, a character from the 18th century with a tale or two to tell.  Once the caretaker of this magnificent building, Jeremiah will guide visitors down the ancient halls rekindling stories from the past, some of which may set your spine tingling.

Jeremiah will be hosting two special after hours evenings during the Holiday period, Wednesday 14 December and Saturday 31 December and from January, every fortnight until the spring months.  The most colourful of characters, he will captivate visitors with his wry wit and charm and tales of times gone by in a totally new way to discover and experience Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall.  Tickets include a welcome Mulberry Gin Fizz or sparkling Elderflower and a glass of sparkling wine and a seasonal pastry at the conclusion.

Alistair Goddon, Operations Manager at Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall, says, “Our after hours character tours are a new and incredibly atmospheric way to explore Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall.  They’ve also very much been created as an experience to enjoy as a social occasion with friends and family, with drinks and treats included – in fact what could be a better start to your New Year’s Eve celebrations!”

The doors open at 6:30pm and tickets are priced at £25 per person and bookable in advance here.

The Schoolroom Shop will also be open during the after hours tours and is full of Christmas gift ideas for Shakespeare lovers and others, including stocking fillers, books and much more.  For more information on Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall visit ShakespearesSchoolroom.org
