When we re-open, we will be operating in line with Government guidelines and Public Health guidance. We are registered with the Visit Britain Good To Go scheme.
Before Your Visit
- Book your tickets for your chosen visit date online in advance to guarantee your place
- As we are minimising cash handling on-site, be prepared to make payments using a ‘contactless’ bank card where possible
- Be aware that some activities, talks, tours, and interactives will have been suspended where social distancing cannot be guaranteed
- Please postpone your visit if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you are feeling unwell
During Your Visit
- Please adhere to the rule of six on your visit
- Face coverings are required to be worn inside the Schoolroom. Exclusions apply
- Please use the hand sanitiser stations on arrival and as you make your way around the Schoolroom
- We have installed new hygiene screens at many of our service counters.
- We have trained our staff in safe working practices, they will be wearing face coverings and may wear additional PPE if they wish
- They will be on hand to support social distancing and promote safer use of the Museum
- Please follow their guidance, and feel free to ask them any questions you may have
- Please observe social distancing at all times when navigating the Schoolroom
- Look out for new signage and routing which aims to ensure all visitors can respect the personal space of others
- We have put a one-way system in place around the Schoolroom to ensure social distancing is easier to manage
- Enhanced cleaning measures are now in effect, focusing on those areas or surfaces most in contact with our visitors – such as touchscreens, handrails and seats
