The awards recognise the finest visitor attractions, leisure and hospitality businesses across Birmingham, Coventry, Shropshire and Stratford-upon-Avon, and are organised by the West Midlands Growth Company.
As a silver award winner, Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall will now take its place in the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence that take place in June.
Lindsey Armstrong, General Manager for Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall, says, “We are thrilled to receive this award, which is testament to the wonderful work of our guides and volunteers and all that they do to make a visit to Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall such a wonderful experience.”
Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall in Stratford-upon-Avon is about to light up the dark evenings with the lantern of Jeremiah Pinchbeck, a character from the 18th century with a tale or two to tell. Once the caretaker of this magnificent building, Jeremiah will guide visitors down the ancient halls rekindling stories from the past, some of which may set your spine tingling.
Santa will be making his way down the chimney at Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall in Stratford-upon-Avon once again to greet families for a special Christmas experience on dates throughout December.
