This room was used by the Guild’s elite for meetings and for counting money from Guild fees and river tolls as well as for keeping the Guild’s records.

It still holds the Muniments Chest where the Guild kept its deeds, charters and records as well as its money.

Guild, Corporation and Council meetings were held in here for over four centuries.

In the Elizabethan period, it was also used as an armoury for storing weapons such as pikes, halberds, spears, swords and muskets.
