Your Visit

When you visit Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall, you take a trip to an amazing time in England’s story. You’ll follow in Shakespeare’s footsteps, seeing where our greatest playwright was inspired by literature and theatre for the very first time.

Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall is in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s only a short walk to Shakespeare’s Birthplace in Henley Street, and Holy Trinity church, where he was buried in 1616. Nearby you’ll also find The Royal Shakespeare Company, where his plays are still performed today.
